Iceland2019

Here I am. Snow on the black beach, wind off the fjord. We move between small ports and long roads, watching weather unwind.

Diary entry — Feb 2024

The coastline feels endless. Between storms the sea turns glass-blue and the basalt stacks fade into fog. We linger at laybys and walk the long paths out to the water.

These photographs were made in the south and east of Iceland. The light was brief and low; most days began and ended in darkness. The work is part travelogue, part field notes—an attempt to describe the scale and quiet of winter here.
